Stimpson, Claire
Passed away peacefully February 1, 2017 at the age of 84. She leaves behind
her beloved husband of 58 years Earl. Daughter of the late Rene and Rita
Barrette. Loving Mother of Danielle, Joanne (Mike McBain), Gregory (Sandy),
Jeffrey (Corrie) and Lynda (Robbie C o u g h l a n ) . P r o u d and a d o r i n g
Grandmother to Tyler, Trevor, Jordan, Emily, Kyle, Matthew, Garett and Ryan.
The love shared by Claire and Earl was very evident as they opened up their home
to many different friends sharing their warmth and always making everyone feel
welcome. Growing up, many a sleepover was enjoyed by various friends followed by
Claire serving breakfast the next morning. She enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid
golfer. Claire also loved going to the casino and much fun was had on her visits
there. Friends may pay respects at Kelly Funeral Home Barrhaven Chapel, 3000 Woodroffe Ave,
Nepean, ON Monday, February 6, 2017 from 1-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. Funeral mass at St Monica's
Church, 2080 Merivale Road, Nepean, ON Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at 11 a.m. Special
thank-you to the wonderful doctors and nurses at the Queensway Carleton Hospital for their
kind, compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Parkinson's Society of Canada
would be appreciated.
