<div itemprop="description">Giannetti, Luigi <br />Luigi, devoted family man and friend, died peacefully at home surrounded by family after a courageous battle with ALS. Notwithstanding this challenge, Luigi&rsquo;s faith, strength and determination allowed him to defy the odds and realise his life objectives. Beloved soulmate and husband of 40 years to Anne Marie (nee Charlebois). Cherished father of Cristina (Ryan) Leighton, Carla (Bruno Tavares) and Tommaso (Maureen). Loving Nonno of Luigi and Marco Giannetti and Agostino Leighton. Dear brother to Giovanna &ldquo;Joanne&rdquo; Ponting (Randy Steeds). Predeceased by his loving parents Carolina and Raniero. Luigi will be sadly missed by many aunts, uncles, brother and sister-in-laws, compari and commare, cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and friends. &ldquo;The Don&rdquo; had a passion for making the best award winning wines and sharing this incredible talent. Special thanks are conveyed to Dr. Angela Genge and her caring and compassionate team at the Montreal Neurological Institute. Deepest gratitude is also extended to the amazing Ottawa care workers and health care professionals. Family and friends may pay respects at the Kelly Funeral Home, Barrhaven Chapel Wednesday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Thursday to St. Anthony&rsquo;s Church for Mass of Christian Funeral at 10:00 a.m. Entombment at Capital Memorial Gardens.
